Things You Should Know
Rhodes – The largest island in the Dodecanese and the 4th largest in Greece. More beaches along the east coast than you can shake a stick at. The medieval city of Rhodes is a wonder and you will find a handful of castles from the same period all over the island. Rhodes is also an action packed destination offering kite surfing, horse riding, scuba diving and rock climbing. Don’t forget Lindos, your quintessential pretty Greek village with 3 golden beaches and an Acropolis too.
Crete – The largest island in Greece, hard to know where to begin with so much to see. We have chosen the north and west part of the island, Rethymnon and Chania. You will see why when you explore the gorgeous old parts of either of these towns and enjoy the atmosphere down on their respective harbours. The beaches in this part are sublime – Elafonissi, Phalassarna, Balos to name a few. All featuring in any 'Best Greek Beach’ list. Knossos is the very real ruins of a palace for the mythical story of King Minos and the minotaur.
Lefkada – also known as Lefkas. This little green jewel is a delight. The beaches are white sand and turquoise waters - Porto Katsiki, Kathisma, Eggremni are the most well known. Very popular for sailing and water sports which seems to lend a lot to the relaxed vibe all over the island. This island should come with a holiday warning – once visited you won’t want to go anywhere else.
Kefalonia – An amazing greeny blue sea is the image that will stay with me about Kefalonia. It’s beaches are numerous, its exceedingly pretty and it has a really cool mountain, Aenos, which is a national park. The scenery is dramatic and the roads are excellent if you can avoid the rush hour for the goats. The island isn’t overcrowded, despite its huge popularity. If its not on your bucket list of Greek islands to visit, then it should be.
Zakynthos – A well known party island, but we will whisk you up to the north where you will find an oasis of gorgeous beaches, meandering villages and of course the infamous shipwreck cove. Relaxation, beautiful views and the best peanut brittle in the world.
We are here for you through all the stages of your holiday experience. From choosing your villa to hearing about what a great time you had when you return. We make every step of the process easy for you whether its spreading the cost of your holiday or providing beach towels and welcome provisions. We can even help you look for flights and recommend car hire.
