Description

Ivyleaf Barton self catering holiday cottages are located just outside Bude, Cornwall and sleep between 2 and 8 people. They are rated overall 4 stars by English Tourist Board, with Ivyleaf Barton itself rated 5 star. The cottages are available all year round and some take pets by arrangement. Prices include bed linen and electricity and full gas central heating for Ivyleaf Barton and Courtside.

All the cottages have both TV/DVD and CD/Radio/DAB players. Guests have the use of an all weather tennis court and the cottages are adjacent to a 9 hole golf course/driving range/mountain board slope.

The Cottages are located in an exclusive residential area with lawned areas making an ideal safe location for families, approximately 3 miles north of Bude. They enjoy an elevated position with stunning views over both the coast towards Bude Bay and in the distance to Trevose Head and also the north Cornish countryside to Bodmin. So come on and either good game of golf or take the dog for a leisurely walk on the beach.

Courtside Kitchen and Shower-room now fully refurbished with ivyleaf Barton boasting some new bedroom furniture and new beds in the king size rooms

Stables has new ensuite shower room to main bedroom and is great for larger group of 6 people

We have teamed up with Hartland House SPA and can now offer mobile massage and spa treatments in your cottage whilst staying with us - there is a minimum charge based on 1 hr 20 min of treatments but that can be shared amonst more than one guest. So come on and let one hhalf play golf or take the dog for a walk on the beach and the other enjoys being pampered

Sleeping Arrangements

Linhay and Byre are single storey cottages both rated 4 star sleeping 2 in a double bedroom with ensuite bathroom.

Courtside is a modern luxury cottage sleeping 3-4 people on 2 floors

Stables is a single storey cottage sleeping 6 in two double bedrooms (one ensuite) and a twin bedded room

Granary is again a split level cottage sleeping 6 in two double bedrooms and a twin bedded room.

Ivyleaf Barton itself is the main house and sleeps 8 people in 5 star luxury

Things You Should Know

Ivyleaf Hill is an exclusive residential area approximately two miles north of Bude located just off the A39 Atlantic Highway. It is an elevated position with stunning views over both the coast towards Bude Bay and in the distance to Trevose Head and also the North Cornish countryside towards Bodmin.

The National Trust beach at Sandymouth is approx 3-4 miles distant. Guests at Ivyleaf Barton Cottages enjoy free use of a re-surfaced all weather full size tennis court . There are some rackets and balls available for use if your have forgotten your own equipment.

There is a privately owned 9 hole golf course and driving range where Ivyleaf guests enjoy a special weekly rate and have a private access gate. The par 33 course starts from just in front of cottages Barn, Mill, Granary and Stables so there are few excuses not to get a round in before breakfast.

The Golf course owners have opened a Mountain Boarding Slope where boards and tuition are available. The village of Kilkhampton is a couple of miles away and boasts two excellent pubs serving food, two local shops, a butcher, post office and bakery.

Towards Bude is the historic vilage of Stratton where the Tree Inn serves good food in both the bar and in the separate restaurant

Bude itself is only five mins in the car and with Morrisons & Sainsbury supermarkets providing wide range of food and other items

Other Information

Day Trips - The Trust owned Lundy Island can be accessed by ferry from Bideford as well as fishing trips from Clovelly Harbour. Cycling on The Camel trail and inland watersports at the Tamar Lakes (5-6 miles) are worthy of visits
